David W. Cole, M.D., M.P.H., Medical Director
Dr. David Cole is a military trained medical professional, with senior executive management experience in Occupational and Aerospace medicine. Cole earned his M.D. from the University of Arkansas and completed his surgical internship in general surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served as the Chief Resident at the Navy Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, FL. He also completed a fellowship in acupuncture at the Helms Medical Institute in Berkeley, CA. Cole is an FAA Flight Surgeon, board certified in Aerospace Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Cole served as an adjunct professor for Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing. He was also an Aerospace Medicine Residency Advisory Committee Representative for the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. Cole is a highly decorated military veteran, with a history of service in several overseas missions. He held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Fox Army Health Center on Redstone Arsenal for four years before taking the position of Medical Director for Huntsville Hospital’s Occupational Health Group.
Freddy G. McMurry, MD, MPH, MBA, Associate Medical Director
Freddy received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1985. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama in 1996. He completed his Occupational Medicine residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1998 during which time he completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Dr. McMurry is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine and Family Practice. His special interests include occupational skin and lung disorders. He is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is a certified Medical Review Officer.
Frank Francone, M.D.
Dr. Frank Francone is Board Certfied in Family Medicine, with an extensive background in Occupational and Emergency Medicine. Francone earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Ottawa School of Medicine, in Ontario, Canada. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital of London, followed by a Family Practice Residency at Florida Hospital, in Orlando. Francone is a Certified Medical Review Officer and DOT Medical Examiner, who has also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at FSU College of Medicine’s Pensacola Regional Campus. Before taking the position at Huntsville Hospital’s Occupational Health Group, Francone served as a primary care and urgent care doctor in the Florida area for many years.
